The Homes at Swan Pond is a community of 140 single family homes, built in 70 groups of 2 homes, located just off West Street just about half a mile from the center of the town of Walpole.  In early Colonial times, the area was a part of Dedham, but with growth, Walpole became incorporated in 1724, the name of the town being chosen because Sir Robert Walpole (1676-1745) had shown much kindness to the Colonists.
History of Walpole

Sir Robert Walpole

English history buffs may recall that Walpole was a British Whig Statesman, who dominated politics in the reigns of George I and George II.

The Homes at Swan Pond is the third phase of the residential development of the Swan Pond site, following on after Highland West and the Village at Swan Pond.  The three condominium organizations share the site Amenities, including Clubhouse, Swimming Pools, Tennis Courts and Basketball Court.

The location is ideal - a country setting close to Boston.  Walpole Town Center and the MBTA commuter rail train station are within walking distance, while Interstates 93, 95 and 495 are just minutes away.
